Aldworth Parish Council

This area includes Westridge ( to the north), Four Points in the south and ‘Woodrows’ Farm in the West.

Members of the electorate are invited to attend Parish Council Meetings at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall. Planning Meetings also take place as and when necessary and are held in the Village Hall or on Zoom. The electorate are welcome to attend these meetings.


If you spot anything in the parish that needs reporting (e.g. fallen branches, potholes etc.) please log them via the West Berkshire Council online portal here.

Road Closure - Aldworth Road

Aldworth Road in the Parish of Basildon will be closed on 13th December 2023, between the hours of 09:30 – 15:30, from the junction of Maple Lane to the Junction of Darby Lane. This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out permanent carriageway repairs on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

Diversion will be signed on-site.

Road Closure - Streately

Wantage Road in Streatley. The second of two closures will be on the 6th October 2023 and will take place during the hours of 09.00 to 16.00.

The closure will be between its junction with Rectory Road and its junction with Wallingford Road.

The diversion route (suitable for all vehicles) is expected to be via - Wallingford Rd (A329), A4130, A417, and vice versa.

The purpose of this closure is for a crane to lift various components in and out of an inaccessible area.

Residential access will be maintained throughout, and the diversion will be signed on site.

Please Note: Blue light access (within the hours described above) should seek an alternative route.
